Send Attachment as Link

Sending attachments as a link offers additional security such as specifying access and timed expiry.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Emails attachments use up our storage space, take time to load, and sometimes slow down the sending time on the receiving end. Links are safer and have a lower risk of being flagged by email servers.

Start by composing your email and attaching your files.

Step 1: Attach your files by either uploading or finding files.

Step 2: Click Select.

Step 3: At the bottom of the screen, choose the option to send PDF files as Links.

The cogwheel on the right provides additional options.

Access Restrictions

The recipient of the email will receive a link to either View the files, View & Download, or View, Download, and Print.

Timed Expiry

Step 1: Choose the length of access time.

Timed expiry options include Never expire, to expire After 24 hours, or Custom

If selecting the Custom, choose the day and hours.

Step 2: Click Confirm to finalize your choices.

One person didn't get the email

If one or some recipients are experiencing issues with receiving distribution, they can resolve the issue by:

  • Updating inbox settings: Store production email address in their contacts and mark it as a safe sender.

  • Reviewing inbox folders: Check spam and promotions folders and search the inbox by subject line or production name.

  • Private servers: This must be cleared by the private server. Croogloo has no control over private servers.
