Distribution Tracking Reports

Track delivery status of your distribution by receiving reports to your email address.

Updated this week

This guide explains how to set up automatic tracking for distributions. This feature allows you to receive status reports via email, making it easier to monitor the receipt of your distributions.

Step 1: Start by navigating to your settings.

Step 2: Proceed to the production settings.

Step 3: Select where you would like distribution status emails sent. Options include: to the Sender, to the Reply-To address, to All Admins on your show. Any combination is possible

Step 4: You may also choose to receive reports for only selected distribution lists.

Multiple lists may be selected.

Reports are emailed 15-20 minutes after publishing your message, and always accessible from the Sent folder, providing live reporting of your recipients.

If any recipients are bounced from the message, a unique email will be sent to production alerting you to the message failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know my email was successful?

Easy! From Basecamp, select Track Distribution. On the left, you will find the list of all distributions made by all active users. Clicking on one will show the Distribution Report. By default, Distribution Reports are emailed to the sender - this can be adjusted in Production Settings.

One of my contacts keeps dropping from distribution

The email was rejected by the recipient's mail provider. This could be related to an incorrect email or the email being flagged as spam. Validate the spelling of recipient's email address, review recipient spam filters, and try sending the email again. Bounce notifications will be sent independently of the tracking report, should any of your recipients fail to receive the message.

Crew member is not receiving distribution

First, ensure email isn't in spam, promotional or social inboxes. If not in one of those folders, this could be related to an incorrect email or the email being flagged as spam. Validate the spelling of recipient's email address, review recipient spam filters, and try sending the email again. Bounce notifications will be sent independently of the tracking report, should any of your recipients fail to receive the message.
