Sides with Duplicated Scenes

Creating sides containing duplicated scenes

Updated over a month ago

This tutorial guides through the process of Duplicating Scenes when Generating Sides.

At times when a scene is shot in parts and is scheduled multiple times in a single day, it may also need to appear multiple times in the sides.

Step 1: Navigate to the scripts and generate sides tab.

Select the script and scenes to pull sides from.

Step 2: Reorder the scenes as required

Step 3: Find the scene to duplicate and click on Duplicate icon the far right.

This action creates a duplicate, that can be repositioned as required.

If necessary, accidental duplicates, or any scene, can be deleted easily using the 'X' icon.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get script to show up when making sides?

You need to parse the script. You can do this by selecting 'Parse Script' from the script menu (the three-dot icon). This will update the data.

If there's no change, try again using a different version and color to ensure the file isn't blocked by a cache.

Why isn't my script parsing?

Check the format of your script file. It should be a PDF, not an image file stored as a PDF. You can check this by clicking on the page.

If the entire page highlights, it's an image file and this has caused a processing error.

Scenes are not displaying correctly?

If scenes are not displaying as expected, it's possible that the file has cached data in the PDF. In this case, contact the script coordinator for an updated version to resolve the issue.
